If you want to do a batch download, you can open the DownThemAll! Manager window from Tools | DownThemAll! Tools | Manager like picture below.

Then the DownThemAll! Manager window will appear like below.

Now press the Add URL button and the window will appear like below.

Now you can enter the download URL on the URL input box.

For example you have scenario like this, you want to download images on http://www.someserver.com/images/ and there are 50 JPGs there starting from 1.jpg to 50.jpg, so usually you will download one-by-one like below.

http://www.someserver.com/images/1.jpg

http://www.someserver.com/images/2.jpg

http://www.someserver.com/images/3.jpg

...

But using batch downloader from DownThemAll!, you can put like this on the URL input.

http://www.someserver.com/images/[1:50].jpg

It means that you will automatically put all 50 JPGs on DownThemAll! queue for downloads. Very simple isn’t? It’s called batch descriptor. DownThemAll! have several batch descriptors.

Another example, if the files to download are 001.jpg to 050.jpg so the URL is like below.

http://www.someserver.com/images/[001:050].jpg

Another example, if the files to download are a.gif to z.gif so the URL is like below.
